Prayer Service Feb. 9

First Day: Thursday, February 9, 2012
In Transit:
By the grace of God we travel to the country, the very home of God-with-us, Jesus the Christ. Every person who travels is seeking something: family, recreation, job, rest, inspiration. A pilgrim is seeking God. True, God is everywhere, always available because God loves us infinitely. Yet, God has been very Present in some places, has left an aura that attracts believers.  The Irish say, "It's a thin place. God is very, very near."  We are on our way to the thinnest place of all, the very place of the Incarnation. We will walk where Jesus walked, touch the water where He fished, was baptized; pray where He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and where He suffered, died, and rose to redeem us. We have been called to Jesus' land to know Him better so that we may love Him more personally, lovingly, that we may serve Him with greater fidelity, generosity and joy.
In our personal prayer today:
-Ask the Lord Jesus to open our hearts to whatever His love desires to give us.
-Ask Jesus of Nazareth, the Risen Christ, for what has inspired you to make this
  pilgrimage.
As we pray the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary let us ask Our Mother, Mary of Nazareth to pray for us to her son as she leads us into the Mysteries of Jesus' early life.
The Luminous Mysteries:
  1. The Baptism of Jesus
  2. Jesus’ First Miracle at the Wedding of Cana
  3. Proclamation of the Kingdom of God
  4. The Transfiguration
  5. The Institution of the Eucharist
